This is that soup that warms you from the inside out, it’s perfect for winter and it’s so good for gut healing and when you’re feeling down. Lots of people call it post-birth soup or get better soup or ginger soup. It doesn’t matter what you call it, it matters that you make it and try it. It’s so good.

  • 1 chicken cut into pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tblsp ghee
  • 1 tblsp coconut oil
  • 2 pieces ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 small onion
  • 8-10 whole black peppercorns
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2-3 cloves (spice)
  • 2 whole elachi
  • 750ml-1Litre water

Cook chicken with salt, turmeric, coconut oil and ghee.
Liquidize the rest of the ingredients with some of the water and add to the chicken. Cook for about 10-12 minutes.
Once chicken is cooked, add the rest of the water and boil for 20-25 minutes.

Serve and enjoy
