Instant Pot Souse Vide

I finally tried the sous vide feature on the Instant Pot 9-in-1 duo plus.

Things I’ve learnt:

  1. A ziplock bag def works
  2. Don’t be a smart a*se and put it to 60C if the recipe recommends 54C. Just use 54C
  3. Select Sous Vide on the @instantpotsa turn the temp to 54C, then when it says On, you can press the + sign to select the time (I would select 45-50mins but recipe recommends 1hour)
  4. When the water reaches the right temp, the pot will automatically start the timer. Open the lid, add your sealed bag(s) of steak.
  5. Let it do its thing.
  6. Once done, sear it on a very hot pan. It’s delicious!

I served it with oven-roasted crispy potatoes that I parboiled and steamed veg. I used Aged T-bone steaks from @forsmay_butchery
