Basics 101: Ganache

By 13th September 2021October 14th, 2025No Comments

This one is for the beginner, the one who finds the kitchen intimidating, the one just now learning to love the kitchen and prepare food ♥️ If you already know-it-all then this one isn’t for you 😜 Watch my reel on how to make it

Here’s the trick to fool-proof perfect ganache every time!

Want to whip ganache? Add 1 part chocolate to 2 parts heated cream, for example, 1 cup chocolate melted into 2 cups heated fresh cream, cool in the fridge. Add to your stand mixture and whip like you would fresh cream.

Want to pour it over a cake or dessert? Add 1 part chocolate to 1 part heated fresh cream, cool and pour over your cake.
Need it darker? Add 1 tsp dark cocoa when adding the chocolate.

Want to pipe it? Add 2 parts chocolate to 1 part heated fresh cream, cool, add to your piping bag and decorate everything!

You can variate as you like but that’s the basics 😜

Tip: always cool ganache, also make sure your cake/dessert has cooled, never pour hot ganache onto a cooled nor a warm cake.

Enjoy!
