Sweet Egg Bread
I love me a sweet egg bread just as much as I love the spicy one…
This is how my mum always made it and it’s so nostalgic for me. Watch now
Mummy’s sweet egg bread:
3 rolls sliced/ 3-4 breadloaf slices
1/2 cup oil/ghee for frying
Mixture:
2-3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
60ml cream/milk
25g sugar (1-2tblsp)
Whisk
Dip slices into egg mixture and shallow fry
Optional: omit sugar in mixture and toss into cinnamon sugar after pan frying.
Serve topped with fruit, cream, syrup, whatever you like.
