Jummah lunch today had all the braai feels 😍
Lamb Shanks from @forsmay_butchery spiced without masala for the heartburners in my house 😆 and I added @sujees_gourmet_food green masala to one of the shanks just for me.
Simple Lamb Shanks
Order 4 shanks from @forsmay_butchery
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tsp Steak & Chops spice grinder
2 tsp meat spice
1 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp green masala (optional)
3 cloves garlic sliced
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 sachet beef stock
Half tsp cinnamon
Pinch of Thyme
Mix, add quarter cup water to make a wet marinade.
Cut into your shanks and push some of the garlic pieces in.
Rub the marinade over the shanks and leave to get lekker overnight.
Then, place them all into your instantpot, add any veggies you like, I add onion.
Set onto pressurecook high for 17minutes and leave it to release pressure naturally.
The kids ate it straight out of the pot! But we braai’d ours so that it’s crispy.
The liquid that’s leftover in the pot, I blitzed it with the onions, added 1 tsp cornflour and half cup barbecue sauce, pinch of rough chilli, cooked until thick and used as a gravy.
Serve with chips and creamed spinach (btw I “made” the BEST creamed spinach ever!!) I had this frozen packet leftover from a @mccain_sa campaign and decided to use it, omg amazing! Literally microwaved it as per the packet instructions, it was epic!!
Especially easy when it’s a public holiday and you want to cook easy.
