Instant Pot Souse Vide
I finally tried the sous vide feature on the Instant Pot 9-in-1 duo plus.
Things I’ve learnt:
- A ziplock bag def works
- Don’t be a smart a*se and put it to 60C if the recipe recommends 54C. Just use 54C
- Select Sous Vide on the @instantpotsa turn the temp to 54C, then when it says On, you can press the + sign to select the time (I would select 45-50mins but recipe recommends 1hour)
- When the water reaches the right temp, the pot will automatically start the timer. Open the lid, add your sealed bag(s) of steak.
- Let it do its thing.
- Once done, sear it on a very hot pan. It’s delicious!
I served it with oven-roasted crispy potatoes that I parboiled and steamed veg. I used Aged T-bone steaks from @forsmay_butchery
