Galata Bakery
What we ate at @galata.bakery
This has been one of the best jhb eatery finds in my personal opinion. I love the food, the flavour and the affordability too ?
We used to go just for breakfasts when we first found Galata in Braamfontein through a couple of friends of ours and then we tried the Turkish braai in 2019 and omg yummmm….now we are well and truly hooked.
Just before Covid hit SA they told me that they’ve started making the one metre Adana kebab but level 5 hit and I didn’t make it back and then forgot about it. Until now when I remembered and asked if they’re still bringing it to the menu.
And let me tell you, it’s worth it! Feeds 4 ppl easily.
We almost always order the Turkish braai but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
This time we had:
One meter Adana Kebab
Soto – chicken with peppers smothered in cheese
Baked hummus – OMG!! Amazing!
Baklava cheesecake
The kids were treated to Cookiemonster Macarons courtesy of Daddy Galata.
It’s amazing because we’ve been going there for so long that even though their dad doesn’t speak English at all, we feel like family when we see him ♥️
Also if the Trileches dessert is in the fridge, definitely order a slice!
