Easy Milktart
Made the easiest cheats layered milktart ever!! It was delicious!
My cousin tried it first a few months ago and we enjoyed it alot! It’s by Hawabibi Lambat and the recipe is taken from the @kitchenqueens page
Ingredients:
4 cups of milk
1 tin condensed milk
1 tablespoon butter
80ml maizena (1/4 cup)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 packet @bakersbiscuits tennis biscuits
Cinnamon powder (to top the tart)
In a pot add the milk and heat slowly, then add the condensed milk and butter. Stir continuously to prevent burning.
In a smaller dish add the eggs, vanilla essence and maizena. Combine well.
Pour into your milk mixture and whisk continuously to combine well.
Stir until it becomes thick.
In a Pyrex dish (or my awesome enamel dish ????) put down one layer of biscuits, if you’re OCD make sure they’re facing the right way ?
Pour half the thickened milk mixture over.
Push in another layer of biscuits.
Pour the rest of the mixture over.
Try to tap out as many bubbles as you can, don’t be lazy like me ?
Cover with cling film right onto the mixture to prevent a film-forming. Pop into the fridge to set.
Once set and cold, peel off the cling film. Dust with cinnamon powder. Pretty it up however you like.
Serve (or eat it all alone, it’s your tart and you can do what you want to ?) Enjoy! #fehmz#milktart#food24_sa#dessert
