You will need:
250g butter, softened
1 cup plus 2 tbsp castor sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups cake flour, plus extra for rolling
Pinch of salt
Method:
Beat the butter, sugar, egg, salt and vanilla extract until combined and fluffy. Then add in your cake flour and combine to form a soft dough.
Make your dough and remove a quarter of it. Add a few tbsp cocoa to the quarter and combine well.
Shape the “white” to look like a long log of bread, pop into the fridge to harden.
Roll out the brown dough so that it’s nice and thin. Place your white log in the middle and roll the brown dough around it.
Shape again, slice into bread slices, place on a tray and refrigerate for 20 minutes, this helps to maintain its shape when baking. Preheat your oven to 170deg C. Watch here
Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Decorate with coloured buttercream, real PB & jam, Nutella or fake eggs (white chocolate with yellow sweet middles or painted Choc)
