Easy peasy creamy mushroom sauce – Watch my reel here
1 punnet mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp ghee
Half an onion, finely sliced (or 1 shallot)
2 cloves garlic
Salt & pepper
Green chilli
1 tbsp flour
Lemon pepper
250ml fresh cream
1 tbsp cream cheese
Melt your ghee in a pan, and add your garlic and green chilli. Then add the onions/shallots. Add the rest of the spices and the flour. Mix well. Add the mushrooms.
Now add the cream and mix so that the flour dissolves without lumps.
Lastly, add the cream cheese.
Let simmer uncovered until nice and thick, stirring consistently.
Use on anything, steaks, schnitzel, baked potatoes, on toast.
